Question:

Why does the "Restricted Performance" light come up on my Jaguar XK R?

I've just paid (another ) £113 to have my Jaguar checked out, - to no avail. Rybrook's found nothing to account for the car going into Restricted Performance Mode yet again, - for the 4th time.

The warning light comes up, and the car slows down to 50 mph and under. It labours, uphill, and I get passed by VW Beetles !!

The on-board computer shows no record of any malfunction afterwards, when I take it into Rybrook's, but also, after I've stopped and switched the engine off the car behaves perfectly.

Any ideas please?

Thank you
