Why does the refrigerator have a light that turns on when you open it, but the freezer doesn't?

  1. my freezer has a light...so maybe your is broken??


  2. Most logical answer I can think for this, is that the fridge part is used more often then the freezer is, so it's more convenient to put the light in the fridge.

  3. Having a light bulb freeze may cause it to go bad sooner.

  4. Manufacturers must know that our husbands and children will stare into the open fridge for minutes at a time, hoping a wonderful snack will magically appear right in front on the top shelf.  So, they put the light in there to help them out!   But, those same folks rarely open the freezer and stand there staring, so no point in putting a light in every freezer . .
