Everytime I take a shower, the shower head screams loudly at a high frequency... why!? Its probably something to do with pressure, but that's all I know.

Thank you

  1. well, the main reason i know off for plumbing to make strange sounds, is the pipes are not attached to the framing of the house well enough, which allows them to start to vibrate when water flows through them, this can lead to strange screeches, moans, and sighs from the plumbing.

  2. Try cleaning the shower head with vinegar, if that does not work, take the head apart and remove the water saver washer. The water saver washer is designed to reduce the flow of water coming out of the head, maybe it is or has become too restrictive.

  3. This is normally caused by calcium deposits built up in the head. Replace the head or soak in vinegar for a few hours.
