Why does the so-called tiger mosquito bite more than once?

Anyone who has had experience with tiger mosquitoes knows that they will bite multiple times the same person, on the same trip from the nest. Why is this? Can't they get all the blood they need from the first bite?

  1. My experience with mosquitoes is that they hover until they can settle. Sometimes if disturbed even when feeding they fly off and return. I actually have not run accross the name "Tiger Mosquito" before but I have been stung in long strings accross my stomach when sleeping so i have assumed this is the work of one or two mosquitoes. If it was many the area of stings would be in a haphazard distribution. The ones I have come accross-(India and Africa) certainly will come again if you dont manage to get them first time. They will also feed on an animal and then come to you. Horrible thought. Hope this helps

  2. it is in a stage of evolution another 10 years we can see mozzis with a size of sparrow

  3. They keep biting until their urge for blood is satisfied.

Oh, if they are disturbed they will fly away, otherwise, they will remain until they have a full abdomen.

  4. There not full, so they keep on sucking blood.
