Why does the text flash when I read?

Question

When I read, I find the text flashes from a black background with white text to white background with black text in a rapid pace I can describe only as flashing text. I particularly notice this with all black and white patterns. The other day I was playing around with some Dominos and had to stop because the dots were flashing so much it was causing a severe headache. I don't know if anyone else has dealt with this issue, but any advice you could offer would be greatly appriciated!!!

You may want to test yourself for dyslexia. I have it, and words appear to flash and change color when I read. I use a aqua-colored overlay to help stop this problem. Hope it helps. ^^
