Why does the tire on the rear passenger side wear faster than the rest?

  1. if rear wheel drive thats your drive wheel and if your spinning the tire thats the one doing it and if you have a front wheel drive you need to get a rear wheel alignment as it's out of alignment.


  2. It could be a bent axle or something out of alignment...or it could be you have rear wheel drive and you are taking off too fast spinning your tire ( right rear is traction tire ) causing it to wear faster. That was my problem when I was younger...then I had to buy my first set of tires with my own money...so I quit hot roding.

    One other thing...you never said how it was wearing....so if it is a scattered wear...then you may have a bad shock or strut

  3. The alignment of that axle may be off.

  4. Something is probably bent or misaligned. Take it in for a 4 wheel alignment/inspection.

  5. Improper wheel alignment.  No other likely cause really.
