Why does the train slow down on the last corner between leeds and bradford interchange?

now that sound like a silly question but the station is still about a mile away but for 2 minutes the train crawls around the corner going to the station but on the way back out the train does not go as slow?

Years ago the train used to come into the station quite fast and some of the local people being from that area are quite slow mentally and quite often they would miss the train. So now the train enters slowly in order for the local people to say to themselves "Here comes the train" then they can hurry along to the station.

There may well be a speed restriction inbound to Bradford Interchange, which there isn't outbound. You should be able to see if this is the case by looking out of the window for a circular board, white with numbers on. Alternatively, as it's going toward a terminal station it may be is waiting for a platform - does a train pass going in the opposite direction?

Could be a safety test, make sure the brakes are in order before coming into a terminal.  Could also be going through speed-restricted curves or switches on that direction, say it has to cross over tracks of another mainline.
