1)In Europe it would be taboo for interracial marriage between different European races. For example it`s taboo for a Russian to marry a French man. It`s taboo for a German to marry a Spanish person. In England,it`s taboo for an English man to marry a greek.Interracial marriage between Europeans races is frowned upon in Europe and you could get kick out of your family by doing so!

2)In Europe, you can get discriminated if you are a European living in another European country. For example,French people have less rights in Spain.Albanians have a harder time of finding jobs in Italy.British people in France face great discrimination for being British.

3)It is common to see Street Fights between different races in Europe. In Germany,Italian could get targeted for assaults by Germans! In Yugoslavia,it is common to see Croatians beat Serbians up!IIt`s common to see street fights against British minorities in Italy!

  1. There's so much incoherent ignorance in this question it makes my head hurt.

First, there are no other native races to Europe aside from "white". Secondly, I have never once encountered nor heard of taboos against international inter-European marriage, at least not since the Hundred Years War. There might be challenges to marrying someone from a different culture or with a different native tongue, but that doesn't mean inter-marriage is frowned upon or forbidden. Thirdly, I am sure that the allegations of discrimination would be a real shock to the European Union lawmakers.

That being said, I think I can sift out your question - why is there little to no conflict between whites of various ethnicities in the United States?

The answer is that it was not always that way. You don't have to go that far back to find Jews being barred from membership in certain clubs and organizations, or racism against Italians, Irish, Poles, Germans and other recently emigrated white ethnicities. There was job discrimination, housing discrimination, violence and prejudice towards all these groups at one time.

The point is that everybody is fairly hostile towards "the other", towards anybody who is different from themselves. Each newly arrived immigrant group experienced this discrimination until they were homogenized into the mainstream society, in terms of language, dress, behavior, values, etc. It is easier, obviously, for those with white skin to assimilate into a white society. It didn't happen overnight.

  2. Where are you getting this?  There are maybe two valid concerns in that entire list and the rest is utter rubbish.

  3. No race has disappeared in America. I think the the Greeks are just a few in the American population.

  4. You are confusing three different concepts with each other.  These three things are Race, Culture, and Identity; a person might also call them Nature, Nurture, and Being.  Whatever set of terms you choose to employ, the three remain separate things.  Mutually influencing to be sure, but separate.  When you understand this, you will answer your own question.  Until then, I doubt anything that anybody says will change your mind....

  5. (I believe you have race confused with nationality.)

I think it's because in America, you're seen as your color first then your nationality.

For example: on job applications, races are divided as white, black, hispanic, asian, etc.

For whites, those can be broken down to French, German, British, etc.

For blacks, those can be broken down to African, Carribbean, etc.

Hispanic can be broken down to Mexican, Puerto Rican, Brasilian, etc.

    and what have you...

When you walk down the street you see random people and clearly see that he's white or she's black or he's asian, etc.

You're first registry isn't oh she's German American or he's Carribbean American or what have you.

In America, a majority of people (NOT ALL) have a majority of friends that are the same race, not but necessarily the same nationality, because America isn't divided by countries.

But I have seen discrimination against states & regions of the US.

I've heard northerners & southerners bash each other and hear constantly about East Coast & West Coast rivalry. But in the end we're all American.

I guess Europe chooses to divide themselves by country and not come together as Europeans.

I know a guy who's Irish American, has a Scottish American room mate, has band mates that are part Czech, Russian, etc.

But in America they would all be considered white first, then classified into their nationality. Same goes for other races.

I think that's why the various white nationalities disappear in America.

  6. Because Europeans of all countries learned English & needed the help of other Europeans to survive in a hostile land, they didn't have the old taboos of Europe.  My family came here in 1638 from the UK & in 1642 from France. We of course have no nobility here, but for 100s of years it was taboo to marry an indian (native American) or black person.  We have pretty well put this taboo to rest.

I suspect continued unrest will be evident in Europe until they relax some of their long held beliefs about people from different ethnic groups.

  7. In American history, about the early 1800's ,it was taboo for anyone  to marry outside their families ancestral race. People around that time frame carried those beliefs  of not mixing with other European races. Some families may have carried those beliefs longer. I live in Indiana. Our town started with a lot of German families. The majority of the people were raised to marry into other German American families, even if, they had to look somewhere else. In our area this belief started dying around the 1930's. My husbands family seemed to stay with this belief( marrying within the German American community) until the 50's. My husband thought people might have changed because of WWI & WWII. Even though most don't marry into their ancietoral race, we still have a lot of pride for our family and where we came from.

  8. Try and understand this, I am second generation American, My Grandparents were Polish. I committed the unholy act of marrying out of my religion and ethnicity. I was chastised for that. That's old fashion thinking today.

Today you see mixed marriages all the time. The "white" race isn't disappearing, in America, it's intermixing, as a great country, all people are finally waking up to the fact that were all brothers and sisters, one race in America.

Scientifically the Black race, after a few hundred to a thousand years will be so intermixed, it will no longer have any significance. The other races will all be intermixed, as one country, one people. As it should be. If you want to keep your line pure, stay home.

  9. I thought the French only hated Americans.  It is nice to have company.

I suspect the reason is because they are more crowded with a long and very bloody history of one population invading or pushing out others.  That sorts of "tribal warfare" creates resentment that lasts several generations.  Humans are extremely aggressive towards those that threaten them.  It is not too surprising that some of the old resentments remain because passive societies died out long ago in Europe.  It would be interesting to see how the current practice of allowing somewhat hostile minorities in Europe ends.  Hopefully they will meld into one people or it will not likely end well.
