  1. I will tell u what it exactly means by 200% .... It means the Vitamin E in your capsule is double the amount required by the body.

But it doesn't matters even if you eat the double amount of vitamin E as required by body. Why? Because rest of it will be excreted out through stool ...

Also sometimes our body absorbs half the amount of vitamin coming into body through food,

i.e example u eat 200gms of some food then only 100gms is absorbed by body

But usually people don't have VIT E deficency. So if you get bad and nasty stools , then understand that it might be due to vitamin e.  It is called steatorrhoea ,, u can check online.. I hope i spelled it correct.

  2. I have found a great resource in the book The Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements.  The link below will take you right to the site.  There is a lot of good info there.

The 200% number is the what is recommended.  The actual question is who made that decision.  I hope this book helps you decide what is correct for you.

  3. It's 200% (double) the daily value you should take according to the FDA but the FDA value is far less than the body's requirements so you'd be safe even if you take1000%.....

    :-))

  4. 100% = the amount is recommended per day

200% = double the amount needed..

extra vitamins aren't simply excreted in urine.

Read the source article about consuming more than the recommended amount of vitamins.

  5. it means its double what the FDA recommends. and most people only need about 30-40% of a vitamins RDA to prevent deficiencies. contrary to popular beleif in these forums more isnt neccesarily better for most vitamins
