It's kind of weird actually. We eat out quite a bit and have noticed that the water and sodas at restaurants in certain areas have a planty or grassy taste to it. Sometimes it's so bad that we can't drink it. What causes this?

  1. Probably because they don't clean their filters.  Have you seen a dirty water filter used in soda machines.  It is quite nasty.

  2. I think mildew or mold has that taste to it.  If your in a humid location they probably need to clean there ice machine.

  3. Well my only guess is the location you go out to eat at doesn't have running water and either has to go outside and retrieve water from soil by osmosis or they collect rainwater and store it in flower pots. No but really I have no clue, I would bring that up at the restaurant.

  4. eww, i dont know where your eating but that sounds yucky ive never had that problem, and i also dont know...sorry!

  5. As far as the water goes, most restaurants have a tap, or you can get it out of the coke fountain. It always taste better through the fountain. As far as sodas, the only thing I can think of that alters the taste is the syrup to CO2 ratio.
