  1. Because at the latitudes that the U.S. exists, the prevailing upper level winds blow west to east, thus conducting weather systems in that general direction.

  2. because that is where the prevailing winds come from also called the jet stream it is a constant moving air stream that runs about 20,000 feet and depending on warm or cold fronts or high or low pressure systems it dips and rises all across the united states in a west to east direction

  3. Weather in this country is moved and affected by the jet stream, an upper level current that blows across the country and carries weather systems with it.

  4. This is becuase the jet stream in the northern hemisphere is traveling west to east and the jet stream is what carries the weather

  5. idk and you shouldn't

  6. I think its because of the rotation of the earth.

    Take care,

  7. I think it has to do with the way the earth rotates.

  8. It all depends on the jet stream and the everlasting cycle of rising and falling air.

  9. The Jet Stream and steering winds blow from west to east.

  10. The rotation of the earth around the sun create a jet stream from west to east.. If this ever changes..we are all history!
