  1. it's alot of things, in my opinion. I understand what you are saying, but you must look at it from other perspectives. We've always gone where we aren't wanted. Its not the "people/citizens" who hate us, but more like the governments. It's when we go into these other countries, and bomb them, we too kill innocent victims, turning their family memeber against us, then just spreading from there. Say our government were doing something over here that Russia didn't approve of, so they come in our territory, set up troops, bomb our embassies, and so happen your parents, or brothers and sister were caught in that crossfire, you'd be pretty upset with them. I've always said that we need to stop helping other countries and worry about our own interests, and let their problems be their problems. It sounds selfish, but it seems to me to be the best result.

  2. We are mostly despised because of the results of the Bush Administration.  We used to be a country with much wealth, opportunity, caring for world issues.  We all thought we were the "Good Guys"

    Then Bush happened

    You know the rest.

  3. I agree with fk_ii. Here's a video that basically sums up what he is saying: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3Os4bJn0...

  4. I am american and I totally agree with you.  But Geroge did put us down a peg in the last 8 years. I hope we remaine the super power.

  5. United States has a long-standing record of attacking sovereign countries.

    A schizophrenic foreign policy;

Bellowing about human rights abuses in other countries and then supporting dictators like Marcos, Suharto, etc.

Attacking Iraq on a phony pretext like WMDs and then complaining when Russia invades Georgia.

In short, long standing U.S hypocrisy.

  6. do u think americans are any better than n**i germans? mass kills of native americans, slavery(even Hitler didnt have that), a-bombs in japan(comparable to what Hitler's done in Europe), bombing of yugoslavia, they armed islamic fundamentalists in afghanistan and iraq in 1980s, invaded souvereign countries?

luckily world is not run by americans, thanks to russians

  7. woah..woah, I have no problem with the US being a superpower, its just how Bush and co. have used such power in the last 8 years that has me peeved, that old cliche with great power comes great responsibility.well its true.I love the US and it wasn't too long ago in the 90s where they were the driving force in the peace process talks in N.Ireland,As a person from Ireland i am eternally grateful for this, its what the US should be using there power for,its what we want and expect from them. Can you imagine if such a task was given to Bush, holy c**p...he could have sent his troops in,after all it was home to a few terrorists and we know how he likes to deal with those folk *shudder*..i'm kidding...kinda...but you get my point.Bush wouldn't understand the word diplomacy if it was written in giant coloured crayola letters on a piece of paper!

And i know this sounds crazy but i can honestly say as a european i have never felt treathened by Russia, the idea that they will invade us and turn us into commi's,never such a thing has so much as crossed my mind.

  8. Well if your about to talk about the first and second world wars it wasn't only thanks to the US.There was Great Britain and other great powers. It was thanks to the Allies that the world wars were won.

Now people outside the USA don't like them much mainly because of their attidude.Like American people pretend that if they go somewhere outside America everyone shall speak english. They don't know that out there exists a world and isn't only the US.They have the idea that the world runs because of them, they think they are superior, that they have high education and high health systems when in reality, let's face it..it's not true.Just visit one of the EU countries a you would see the difference.

But I'm in US favor to support Georgia.Russia is really a world's threat. However the US would need Europe's help too.

  9. It's good to see that we are appreciated by our Canadian friends.

Yeah, I totally agree. I'm not saying we haven't made mistakes in the past, but I think our will is good. The Iraq war for example. We still can't get everyone to agree that it was the right thing to do, but we are going to win, and there will be democracy and peace in the Middle East because of it. I think the USA is doing exactly the right thing by protecting our allies (Poland, Czech Republic etc.). I frankly don't care what Russia thinks. They have proved by invading Georgia that they are a blatant threat, and I think it is the USA's job to insure that our allies are protected. We should all be concerned over Russia's aggression and it's new found muscles. It's not a superpower, but they are power hungry and getting stronger. I also agree with the n**i, commie thing. But even if you put that aside, the world would be much worse of if we didn't stand up to our enemies and bail other countries out of trouble.

So I guess the world gets mad at the USA because most of them are too liberal for their own good, and don't take the time to look at things from our point of view.

  10. Besides communism is good for everyone. Christianity started as communism then people started to get greedy. This commie fear thing is so overblown. The people with the most have the most to fear, sound familiar?

  11. The reason is EVERYONE is scared of what the U.S. is capable of doing, what everyone seems to forget is that, this nation is built on an Idea that no-one should be persecuted, yes our past is riddled with many bad things but its the good things that remain, ( the good things that immigrants have brought to this country, from everywhere around the world.) "Those who have the ability to stop tyranny have the responsibility to do so." that is why we go to the Aid of many countries who "do not want it" whoever thinks that these people do not want help, ( You are an Idiot ) get your facts straight before you post nonsense. I've said my peace and it all boils down to ( other countries are scared of the U.S. possibly because they believe that we believe like they believe, and we have the power to hurt as well as help.)
