Why does the wii suck so much compared to the xbox 360 an the ps3

i mean the graphics on the wii are the same as the original xbox what the heck man. i mean how can you make a next gen system that can only compete with the last gen systems

Wii is intended for different gaming market. It's target - senior citizens and young kids. It's not intended for serious gaming. Wii runs on single core 729Mhz CPU (that's really old). Some serious sources don't even consider it being seventh generation console. It's like comparing a muscle car and a family van - different uses for different users.

Wii sucks , people only buy that dumb consel for mario games and its controlls aare a little different. I had a choice to buy from wii x box 360 and ps3 , I chose ps3. lets see wii has normal ps2 and xbox grafics.

x box 360, good games  hd graphics . and then ps3 blue-ray graphics, internet facilities and40-80 gig storage facility, its also a blue ray player ,and more

cos the processor is pathetic and nintendo make kiddie consoles. we all remember how **** the gamecube was.

they make the gameboy ffs, you cannot put a gameboy game style on a tv screen, and some stupid wavy controller (which the ps3 manages to utilise very well in some games anyway) which breaks more tvs than some nutter with a nail gun and call it a success.

but if youre on a budget, then wii is better than nothing i guess. actually, no, buy a DS, then you can take your meager entertainement (nintendo style!) with you wherever yougo.

First off, the Wii's main target is casual gamers and not hardcore gamers so they care less about graphics than Microsoft and Sony.  You can play online on the Wii. Some games can and some games can't.

It runs on a weak 700mhz cpu just like the xbox, and it displays 480p at most just like the xbox and ps2. It cost $250 at first, just like the last generation consoles did at their launch too.

There's a reason why the Wii is so cheap. It was cheap to design and cheap to make.

Don't despair though, the wii will not live long beyond the American digital switch February 17, 2009, when millions of people's sdtv's stop working and many of them get hdtv's instead, where wii won't measure up

as others have mentioned the wii's target market is younger children. It would be a great console for a child's first game console, but thats it.

Its because its not put out as a REAL gaming console, its more like a toy.

Its cheap and can be played in small chinks, the nly people that really buy it are either extreme fanboys [like communist/ROB] or people outside the core gaming demographic like little kids or old people.

Especially American mums with fat kids who they think they can get active buy getting them Wii Fit.

Realise different gametypes for different gamers. Wii was created to 1) innovate and 2) appeal to people who are traditionally not gamers

Just as many who play ps3 or 360 would never bother picking up a gameboy or psp.

i know rite plus the wii cant play dvds but original xbox can ps2 can so why cant wii hmmmm......people who say killzone2 GOW2 is button smashing its not its a shooter wii has childish games and if they came out with some gory games(mature games) then well it could...well nevermind it couldnt compete with its cheap graphix lack of fun games....instead 360 i payed for online which is worth it Ps3 has no charge so u see.....wii has nothing its meant for a child
