Like St Patricks day, Bastille day, Chinese new year, Independence day, etc. It's all over tv and the news when they happen.

Would anybody else celebrate Australia day?, lol i don't think so.

    just for FUN!!

  2. Most of us live in a multi cultural society and when one gets a holiday the other wants a holiday.  Nowadays, peoples can use all the celebrations they can get.

x(((Hitman)))x  OK, your on!  You come up with an Aussie holiday and I will celebrate with you!  I get a day off from work and get to sleep late right,..??

  3. A lot of it has to do with people from those countries living here, as well as other countries. People take their customs with them.

  4. um cuz it's in the world.

Think of how that sounds...all of the countries are in the same world. They're major events sugar. Plus people like what they represent and it's an excuse to get very, very drunk.
