shouldn't Christians be a beacon of tolerance and acceptance of ALL people? Jesus said love your neighbor and don't judge others.

how did we come to this present situation where g*y and transgender college graduates can't get a decent job because how they look ? what kind of society are we living in?! is this a Christian society? NO Jesus wanted us to be an example of humanity and love not hate and prejudice.

  1. *thunderous applause!*

I wish the Christians in my home town thought like you.  You are about the best example of a TRUE Chrisitan I think I've ever seen.

May your god and my goddess bless you always!

  2. "homosexual" was coined in 1869 so it isn't a sin

it isn't a disorder or like pedophilia and non-consensual abusive acts

  3. maybe they tend to flaunt their preferences too openly.

  4. Well same reason as why emo or goth can't get decent jobs because of how they look

  5. Your right people shouldent judge. You hit the hammer right on the nail.

  6. I'm in the military and you can get kicked out for being g*y.  We have the "don't ask, don't tell" that you are g*y policy.  I disagree with it.  Your sexual preference has nothing to do with your work ethics.

  7. Hello,

What is your definition of discriminate? If you are nasty to them, not allow them to work, do not buy their art and bar them from all social functions there then you are correct. In my country there is legislation protecting them that falls along the lines of race, gender and religious descrimination. Dress is a form of communication and we all face regulations with it. I cannot go on a work site without fire proof coveralls, helmet and safety boots and neither can I get a job in sales or PR wearing faded blue jeans abd a T-shirt, nor can I wear leather, metal and spikes to certain black tie social functions.

That said, if I believe their lifestyle is contrary to my religious values, there is nothing in Jesus' teachings that says I have to slap them on the back and say, hey what you are doing is perfectly great and go for it! Jesus told that adultress, neither do I condemn you but go and sin no more.

  8. Because the Bible says also that anyone that is homosexual will go to h**l. 1 Cor. 6:9  Read for your self.

It also define marriage in between a man & a woman. Yet homosexuals want to change these words to mean what they want, not truth.

The  Bible tells us to love everyone. And I do. But I will not go to the extreme of disobeying God!  Helping you to understand ALL of the Bible is important, not just one line.

  9. I know...we should love all the pedophiles, rapists, molesters, eve-teasers, bestials, prostitutes... you can add to the list.

    You should not judge anyone!

  10. Because they consider homosexuality to be a sin, and according to their religion they are supposed to turn away from sin. AND the zealots want people to follow the laws of right and wrong as dictated by ONE book. It's horrible, I totally agree. However, don't forget that not all Christians are bigoted and not all bigots are Christian.

mcshughes: Just because your religion states that homosexuality is a sin does not mean that it is a violation to national law! America is NOT a theocracy! And because people have "freedom of religion" in America, religious grounds are NOT constitutionally allowed to be considered while making laws! People should not have to hide a major part of who they are just because you choose a book over tolerance. Imagine if you lived in a society that was predominently Buddhist (or any other religion that is not your own); some of your practices would definitely violate Buddhist principles. And if you were discriminated against for your beliefs, you would consider it a huge injustice! Just because something isn't written in the Bible doesn't mean that it can't hold truth in its own right.

  11. i know what you mean.  i am an atheist, and  i have been picked on and made fun of for my beliefs. maybe you shouldn't be so open about being g*y, though... i only tell my closest friends that i am an atheist... but, yeah... good question...

  12. Last time I checked, it's not how you look that makes you g*y, it's what you do.

There's no such thing as "g*y fashion", because there are g*y people who dress like normal people, and then there's straight people who dress in the flashy type of clothing normally associated with g**s.

  13. Christians accept and love everyone, but that doesn't mean we should accept their sinful lifestyles.

Did Jesus?  No, He told the woman caught in adultery, "Go and sin no more."  He didn't accept her sin but He did forgive her of it.

  14. This is not a Christian dominated society, this is a society dominated by a group of people who use the label "Christian" to justify pretty much any action or hatred they want to. The majority of traditional "good Christian values" don't stem from Christian values at all, but instead from a person or group of people who attempt to force their ideals on others using

    Christianity as an excuse.

  15. I worked for a printing company back in the 80's, and there was a g*y guy there who worked in the pressroom that I did. When he wasn't giving me the eye, he was asking another pressman to go out with him and give him " a chance".

They fired him within two weeks because of sexual harrassment and moral turpitude.

And Jesus certainly did not teach tolerance of sin or sinful lifestyles. He merely said not to judge them with anything less than right judgement.

  16. You are so right my friend. It sickens me how bigoted people are. It makes me sad to be a human and an American sometimes. And it's even worse since I'll soon be fighting to give these people the rights to do that. -sigh-

  17. because they fear their own sexuality

  18. Christianity as a whole is descent but it has a lot of loopholes in it, we should love and embrace one another as we have been told and shown but sadly to say that is not the way that it is we all need to dig a little deeper into our selves and really ask are we christians or do we just put on a facade, regardless of a person race, s*x, nationality, creed, religious belief/political sexual orientation we are first humans that should be treated with love and respect true christians would know this if they only adhered to the bible the second greatest commandment was to love everyone I guess for some people it is easier to rehearsed and read a verse then to make actual application of it.

  19. you make me sick...old man like you liken it up the BUNG-HO

  20. We love homosexuals like Jesus asks us to love them. That does not mean that we need to accept their life style as our own.

What about if you create them jobs. I am sure you would be happy that them around. Or are you waiting for God to do it.

  21. No.  Christian's shouldn't be tolerant or accepting of ALL people.  We can love our neighbors and still not accept or tolerate (your words) the evil they do.

We came to this in that those people wanted to normalize their deviancy.  If they had kept it to themselves, it wouldn't be nearly the issue that they themselves have created.  Most of us wouldn't care about the sins they wish to do, as long as they kept it to themselves.

We're living in a society in which deviants want special rights.  There are people willing to stand up and say no to those special interest groups.

There are issues of right and wrong.  Sadly, fewer people are able to judge wisely.

  22. God loves the sinner, but He hates the sin. Christians do not hate g**s, they must shy from sin. The Bible says to avoid all appearances of evil. The Bible states in many places that God is against that practice. A Christian cannot compromise his beliefs and tolerate sin against God's Word.

  23. You sure like asking g*y questions dont you? Well, if you believe in God and the bible, the answers are there for you as I answered on your previous post. Sodom and Gomorrah, go back and read it in your previous post. God says homosexuality is UNCLEAN, UNNATURAL, AND PERVERTED. He proved this in Sodom and Gomorrah by destroying both cities. If God is against g**s ( unnatural, unclean, and perverted acts) then who am I to question His reasons for this being so?As it was in the times of Sodom and Gomorrah, so shall it be in the end times, I hope you find this out for yourself, its in the bible.

  24. Your right Jesus taught tolerance to those whom listened and some whom did not. These bible wielding "homophobes" say the bible says it's wrong, I though believe the bible teaches onee how to live life rather then dictate it. Some stories I also believe were based on others ideology such as the church's stance on homosexuality. But yes I do find that your argument is completely correct about the teachings. (I'm a Catholic so others try not to bash me to hard for bashing the bible thanks guys.)
