Why does this always happen to girls in movies?

The way the killer kills them 90% of the time is by stabbing them in the stomach or slicing their stomach open. Why is this always the most common death for them? Is it meant to be erotic or something?

You get to see their pretty midriff and it doesn't mess up their pretty face. It's also the easiest to fake, so keeps the budget low.

you can still see the face and they can make it really bloody and gory. erotic i dont think so but there are some pretty sick people out there

it can be a female thing cuz girls have more significant organs near the stomach area

It is so that their face is still in the shot really.  And it is easy to fake a stabbing there.
