I don't understand this. Why does this happen a lot?? I live in Centreville, VA in Fairfax, However, the weather is never comparable to the reports given for Fairfax when you are in Centreville. For example, we were issued severe thunderstorms. Then the warnings were canceled stating the storms have broken up. Then I get to Centreville driving home, I drive completely in tornado cell cloud central driving in. I was driving towards and in the activity. Large hail, witnessed a major funnel cloud form, but didn't touch ground thankfully because it was right over my head! I didn't have any where to take cover. I call Mom but she said nothing is happening in Fairfax at the moment. Yet the weather says tornado warning for Hay Market.
I checked the weather when I got home at first said bright and sunny. Chance of light rain. ?????
Wierd. I am a student studying meteorology and know what to look for etc.
