Question:

Why does this happen when I use tampons?

I am 13, and I am a virgin. When ever I insert my tampon, I can get it all the way until my fingers touch my body. But when I push the tampon out of the applicator, I have to pull it out some, so when the tampon is in, it isn't in as far as it should be. It isn't uncomfortable, and I am not too worried about it. I was just wondering if you know why this is happening. Thanks in advance!

  1. ha thats whats supposed to happen.  what helps me, is when my fingers touch my body, i hold the tampon in with my left hand and then push in the applicator with my right hand.  when you pull it out, it should come down a little.

    hope i helped (:

  2. Maybe the tampon itself is too big for your body? If it isn't uncomfortable, then maybe it isn't too large for you. But if it gets to be really annoying, then maybe you can try using a tampon that is smaller, like Playtex Slimfits, or Tampx Pearl. Pearls are kind of "short", if you know what I mean. But as long as you aren't having discomfort or leaks, you should be just fine :)

  3. thats totally normal n supposd 2 happn...n its a good thing ur a virgin so u get points 4 that...but like dont worry bout it and if ur worried ask a mom or a teacher...school gets in soon or it already did(its diff evrywer)...n if ur really worried than wear pads...hope thats a good answr but otherwise dont worry!   u will get used 2 it

  4. If it does not leak and you are not uncomfortable, then it is in correctly.

  5. You may be a bit dry and the tampon is getting stuck...you can use a lubricant to help like dip the tip in vaseline or ky.  or use a smaller slimmer tampon.  You need to relax and breathe out when inserting tampons.
