Why does this hurt?!?

So this is kinda personal but...

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and whenever me and my boyfriend have s*x my v****a is SO sore afterwards. It just feels really swollen and irritated. I can barely walk or sit down. I've been tested for STD's and everything came back normal. Has this happened to anybody else? Do think its just because I'm pregnant?

  2. Why dont you try not having s*x!!  have you ever thought about that?

  3. Yes it is just because your pregnant. Certainly, it is very common, especially during pregnancy. The most likely explanation is a low grade infection such as thrush - these things are very common in pregnancy.

You should see your GP, have a swab taken, and find out if there is some infection which might need a simple treatment with a cream.

If you google: "Pregnant Painful Intercourse" you will find alot on the subject. There isn't just one answer what I posted was just an example of what I found.

  4. You may have a yeast infection that's not really showing face, because mine was just a little red & sore, no discharge or anything but that's what it was... the monistat 7 helps so much.

  5. Sounds like a yeast infection to me. Did they check you for that when they did the STD test? With the increased blood flow there is increased heat too. Wear cotton undies, try to stay cool. Go easy on the sugary stuff and breads as well.

You might want to contact your doctor again to make sure it isn't yeast. If that's not it then it would seem using more lubricant would help a lot. Another thing might help to be clean before and after s*x, a pain but it works.

  6. Blood volume is higher down "there" during pregnancy, probably making everything a little more swollen than normal. Then add the act of intercourse, and i can imagine that things would swell even more. I think this is a normal occurance...it should subside after pregnancy.

  7. dont worry its normal ... its probably because your joints are streching and sore ... I get that pain when I wake up in the morning because I toss and turn alot and my legs strech out ...

You dont have an STD okay and yes it is because you are pregnant ... wait till you get past the 32 week you will hardly be able to walk because of the pressure on your v****a and r****m ...

It will get worse before it gets better ... but i promise you will survive :) good luck

BTW Having s*x doesnt affect the baby at all!! Unless your doctor tells you to stop because you may go into premature labor you will be fine to have s*x till you deliver .. :)

    Enjoy

  8. you need to use lubrication during s*x, when your preg. somtimes you dry out fast

  9. Try using lubricant. I know that since being pregnant I have totally dried up and have had to resort to using lube or else I feel the same way.

  10. First it's not bad to have s*x while pregnant it does not hurt the baby unless the doctor tells you otherwise. In my case I have placenta previa so I can't have s*x but if you are fine then it's okay. There is more blood and it's easy to swell just because. So when having s*x it's irrating everything.  So try using lubricants and telling him to take it slow or try different positions.  You said there are no std's present so maybe a urinary tract infection? But just to be safe let your doctor know.

  11. Your hormones are changing with the pregnancy, which can affect your natural lubrication.  Try using a lube.  If that doesn't help, let your doctor know to see what he/she thinks.  Oh, and having s*x during pregnancy is not bad for the baby - that old wives' tale has been long disproved.  The only time you would really have to refrain from s*x during pregnancy is if your doctor tells you as a result of a complication.

  12. You can get swollen and there is a lot more pressure, so it is possible that it's nothing but you irritating that.  However, unless your pregnancy is at risk or you have very low placenta (which you would have been told by now) there is not risk to the baby from having s*x.  However, if you are really uncomfortable try different positions (this can really help).  You may find that s*x becomes too painful, in which case you may want to stop for the time being.

  13. Girl that is normal it happens lol..... Im 25weeks goin on 26 my love and I still have s*x my doc said its ok when we do have s*x i feel the same way couldnt barely set down cuz it hurts....next time you have s*x try some lubricant lol it help 4 me

  14. bf? not married?

anyway i sorry can't help much could be pregnantcey but not likey go see a doctor or no drive and your dry maybe?

  15. If u have been tested why did u not ask then go to the doctor or call a nurse at your doctor office

You should not be having unprotect s*x

  16. yeah you do know that having s*x is bad for the baby right??

  17. Yep. it sucks because you have more of a s*x drive when you are pregnant... but, you can't enjoy it because you are PREGNANT and it hurts afterwards. Sorry :( Have an ice pack next to the bed.

  18. There'sa lot more pressure down there, so you are probably a bit swollen.  Having s*x would just irritate that causing more pain.
