Poll numbers do not include yesterday.

Excerpts:

A poll released today by CBS News reports that Barack Obama's post-Democratic convention bounce has been erased — and that for the first time, John McCain has drawn even with his Democratic opponent in the network's poll.

CBS’s findings from Monday to Wednesday — covering the early days of the Republican convention — is particularly noteworthy because generally Obama runs stronger in the CBS poll than in other surveys.

Will this trend continue?

What is your opinion?

  1. the media won't let Obama's number go below McCain's. When McCain is ahead, the polls will show a tie. When Obama is ahead, the polls will show him ahead by at least triple what he actually is.

  2. If the American people want a candidate that they know cares about this country, this trend will continue...

  3. Poll numbers can be manipulated by both sides. I don't trust polls.

  4. if the TRUTH were told in the press,it would show McCain out in front.

Nobama is going to lose, and the silent majority will see to that.

    thank God

  5. Cbs is not an accurate poll

Gallup and rassmusen both have Obama with the lead

  6. They have been basically tied for weeks and it shows that this race will be a close one. This should not come to you as much of a surprise. Peace

  7. McCain will win this election is my opinion...then good changes will occur...I don't need to disturb my mind over all this hate being thrown around..lol...

  8. I wouldn't trust that poll until Gallup and Rasmussen back it up today and tomorrow. Both released polls the same day showing Obama with a 7 and 5 point lead respectively.

But a convention bounce is to be expected, if it does actually occur. They were essentially tied before either convention.

  9. According to the first answerer, the only polls that are accurate are the ones with Obama in the lead.

  10. Getting all wet at the thought, are we?

It's ONE poll.  It's been tough searching through all the chaff for a grain of wheat.

Others are showing a larger margin for Obama.  But who really cares?

Nov. 4 will come soon enough.

  11. The Gallup daily poll released today will pick up the Palin speech.  It should tell the tale.

I expect to see a significant gain in it and in the poll that will be released Saturday.

I believe the Palin media storm is backfiring on them and Obama.

  12. Polls aren't accurate.  Their are 300 million people in America. Not 1500.

  13. Because basically whether you want to admit it or not they are tied. The race will come down to a few key swing states, but if you want to play perhaps you can explain this.

  14. McCain is getting the moderates, that have been sitting on the fence with a wait and see attitude.  They wanted to see if he was different then Bush or a clone.  Now with the Sarah Palin pick they have no doubt that he is NOT a Bush, and he is willing to go outside of the Washington mafia to bring in the reform that we need to do the will of the people.
