I'm 1/16 Spanish and 1/16 Italian and I cant be called either one because I'm not either one enough to the world. So on this logic I'm not either one right? That sucks.

  1. your half and half...

  2. YOu do not say what country that your were born in or brought up in...that would be the nationality that would be the most important, not what other drops of blood flow in your veins.  If you really want the Spanish or Italian to be noted in your ancestry why not say for instance.." I am *name your birth nationality* with Spanish and Itallian ancestory"  That will cover it all,.

  3. how does that suck?

Your you, your not spanish, your not italian.

    Your ........

not a subcategory such as a race or gender.

  4. You can call yourself PART each.  But what are your other 7/8?  Would you rather not own any of them/

  5. ohh get over it.....I'm like 1/2 Ukrainian, some German, Norwegian, Scottish, and Canadian lol but you don't hear me crying about not getting accepted in to the Ukrainian hall of fame LMAO

  6. most people are what we call heinz 57, a little of everything.

  7. Hey, you are your own unique blend, as most of us are these days.  I think that is something to be proud of.

  8. Almost everyone on this planet has mixed ethnicity, your own Spanish and Italian ancestors all had mixed ethnicity, that is a certainty, the amount of mix is not important, it is entirely up to you to decide if you want to honour the memory of all or any of your ancestors, you could simply follow whatever your father thinks his lineage is, but don't worry about it.

  9. It all depends on WHO you are talking to.

I'm not Polish.. I was born in Calif, and lived my whole life here in the US.  My ancestry IS Polish.  Anyone doing genealogy is going to immediately be curious where my ancestors came from (and wanting to talk about where their ancestors came from).  It is what we like, it is what we do.  For technical persons.. no, you currently are not Spanish or Italian. It absolutely is part of your heritage.
