Sometimes matches are aired on the advertised time but later on in the year they are ahead or before the advbertised time depending on where you are. What is the cause and why is it exactly an hr and not in minutes

  1. Daylight Summer Time (a.k.a. British Summer Time) was created to allow people to get more out of the day by getting them out of bed an hour earlier when the days were longer. It actually makes a lot of sense and optimising usage of natural daylight is a good way to limit one's carbon footprint. I've included a link to a wikipedia article on the subject.

  2. Day light savings time depends on each country.  Some places don't have day light savings time (like in Hawaii).  So you will see different adjustments realtive to GMT.

  3. Could it be daylight savings time at one end and not the other?  Just a thought.
