  1. You have to realise that Embassies receive just thousands of similar applications. You cannot be made a special case and are advised to run with the flow.Certain and strict criteria have to be met and quite rightly so.Because comment has been made to you about its progress doesnt mean thats the end of it and the Visa will be given. You will find the second part to be tougher she has 2 kids and this has to be considered also.Just be patient and their is nothing stopping you living with your wife in Cambodia. You must get it out of your head that marriage to a foreigner does not give that person the right of entry into the US or any other country. Its exactly the same here in the UK.

  2. 1. She's Cambodian. Not to be mean or anything but they might not have the best record keeping down there. I interned at a consulate and the people there often complained about how long it took other governments to send things they needed.

    2. Millions of other people are trying to do the same thing you are doing. Everyone wants to bring their new spouse to America. These things take time.

  3. Actually, the real problem may be Cambodian record keeping. Hard to say how hard it is to verify documents in Cambodia these days, but I suspect it's harder than it would be in Kansas. You'd be surprised how long it takes some foreign agencies to respond to a request from the embassy on these things.

There's clearly some discrepancy in the document itself that has raised some serious doubt and they're trying to check it out. They wouldn't bother if they were convinced of its authenticity.

  4. 90% of the official paperwork in Southeast Asis is fake.  My guess it that they are making sure the divorce documents are real.
