Why does womens netball not recieve as much sponsorship and media coverage then mens mainstream football????

The main reason that it doesn't is because the bigger (mens) sports are more "developed" than Netball. Womens sports in general are a relatively new thing, in comparison to male sports, which date back 4000 years. Because the male sports are more developed and recognised, more often than not these will be mentioned more than womens sports. Since the sport doesn't get as much attention, less sponsorship deals are made due to the fact that they won't be acheiving their goal of spreading the company name nearly as much as if they were to do it with a major male sport league. Over time, this will become less of a problem though, as more knowledge about the sport is spread throughout the community.
