Why does yahoo lack that in some of our replies we say "google it"?

We are in yahoo, and still sometimes we say "google it", Why?

Why not "yahoo it"?

Haha, I've often thought about that when replying with 'google it' - is it a swear word here? ;)

Google is just... universal. Yahoo was around way before Google, but Google got it right, and it shows.

I'm not sure, but I remember that a lot of people thought the commercial "Do You Yahoo Yet?" sounded kind of vulgar.
