Why does yahoogroups not send out emails?

I post on yahoogroups for emails to be sent out. However, now the posting is just on yahoogroups and does not go out right away to individual emails. Why is this happening? I would like the email to go out asap, not 12 hours later.

It's up to Yahoo email servers as to how fast the messages are sent out.  During heavy traffic times, they might be slower, and vice versa.  Another factor could be involved:  If a lot of changes are being made in Yahoo Groups by the Yahoo staff, this could slow down delivery.  Also, your own ISP's mail server could be the culprit.

when looking at the mail header once it gets to an e-mail box, you can see which end the delay is on. often it's yahoo's end, but not always.

if you send a mail header into this form, they claim they will read it for you if you don't know how, to determine where the issues lies. if it ends up their delay, the form helps in reporting it
