Why does your body feel like it is floating after you go swimming?

  1. because you have gravity pushing you down(center of the earth and the water keeping you boyont)your body is in equilibrium, it is not going up or down... so when you come out it takes your body time to adjust.


  2. Because when you are actually floating, your brain starts to compensate for the gentle motions, and you feel normal. When you get out, your brain is still compensating, but you now feel like you are floating because you are on solid ground.

    This used to happen with me when I went swimming in 5 foot waves. When I'd come home at night, I'd feel like I was still being rocked by the waves, even though I was falling asleep in bed.

  3. when you are in the pool your body adjusts to that position or since you mostly float on water your body adjusts to that position. When you get out your body has to re-adjust and you are so used to floating in the pool that you feel like you are floating since your body is still in the 'floating' position
