Why doesent my guinea pig like me?

i give him carotts and treats and everything but he wont let me touch him!

You should put your hand in his cage and just wait until he warms up to you. You can also put the treats on your hand when it's flat in the cage.

maybe hes just nervous  try making him like your attention by picking him up whilst feeding him at the same time

but make sure not to stress him and only do this once a day tll he gets comforatble

if he is too uncomfortable by this maybe you should ask advice from a petshop

also if he struggles alot and squeels make sure to put himstraight back because my cousin did this and he died

My sister has a guinea pig and its five years old and it still doestn't like to be touched. It loves lettuce and it will squeal when it hears the sound of the refridgerator opening because it knows it will get lettuce, but i guess guinea pigs are just not lovable creatures. they don't really like to be touched.

guinea pigs are just like that most of the time. trust me ive had them all my life and over the years id say we've had about 9 or 10 pregnancies. most of them hving like 3/4 each os i know what they're like, i have 9 guinea pigs at the moment. (we just had babies =D)

rabbits are very sociable and they like to be petted a lot and played with , most guinea pigs (obviously there are some exceptions) like to be left alone, you're guinea pig probably likes you giving him carrots and treats but he probably doesn't like being petted,

my first guinea pig was really aggressive, i loved her but she just didn't like being touched at all she was even horrible to her babies when she had them.  if you touchd her from the back she would bite.

try stroking him a little bit but just for a second and try and build up every day. another thing u cud do is just pick him up

I used to have a guinea pig.  we first got it at a pet store and it was really big and fat and whenever we tried to pet him he used to always run away from me.  Mostly all guinea pigs are like this if you get it from a pet store.  Just think of it as your taking a living thing away from it's family and friends and it's home and putting him in a  new enviroment. of course he would be frightned if you try to touch him because he misses his old life.  if you try to spend time with him alone like put him outside and if you want talk to him he'll get used to you and let you touch him.

He is probably just nervous just give him some time and try to take him out of his cage for a short period of time and try to pet and play with him.

Most guinea pigs don't let you touch them because they are the pray and they think that you are a preditor. My guinea pig is 1 year old and I feed him carrots and lettuce and cucumbers and he still doesnt like to be touched.
