Why doesn't ABE SAPIEN like his name?

After i've watched both of "Hellboy" the movie i never really understood why Abe Sapien ( hellboy's bestfriend ) never liked his real name?

In the Bible, the name of God is "I Am" thus the name of his people would be "I know". A(first) be (being) or (believer) Sapien (know).

Because it isn't his real name. No one knew who he was, or what his name was. Or even where he came from originally. He was found with a handwritten placard that gave the date that Abraham Lincoln was shot, followed by "Icthyo Sapien."

His real name is Langdon Everett Caul, and he was transformed. He's still learning about his past.

And remember. As awesome as the Hellboy movies are, the comic books are a different beast entirely. I find it possible and more fulfilling to embrace both for their positives. Although I prefer the comics.
