the insurance for phones (cell phones),

they always cover the usual like if it gets broken, keys don't work, if you lose it.....etc.

BUT it seems like WATER DAMAGE IS NEVER COVERED.

what's up with that/???

how is losing a phone and getting a new one, or water damage and getting a new one any different??

  1. Because loosing a phone could happen by accident or some one could of stolen it. Water damage manufacture see that as being just careless. So in there mind they are thinking why waste our money to re-place yours if you were being careless? I'm not trying to say someone that had there lost there phone was being careless, but the moral is different.

i.e Say you let your friend borrow your w.i.i. Someone stole it. or he lost the w.i.i remote. You would be pissed but you would be more pissed off if he had accidentally spilled water over it, because he was being careless.

  2. if you are paying that extra money per month on insurance it should be covered, if not make sure the phone is dry before bringing it back and just tell them it isn't working

  3. T-Mobile's insurance does cover water damage. It's only the warranty that doesn't cover it, but that doesn't cover lost phones or phones that fell on the floor either, only manufacturer defects. The insurance, which you pay for every month, covers all of that, but you have to not only pay a monthly premium but also pay a deductible when you make a claim. For a lot of phones this makes insurance not worth paying for.

  4. it depends wat carrier you r with. i think that tmobile covers water damage
