Why doesn't Dale Jr have the fluorescent numbers on his cars like the rest of the HMS drivers?

Just wondering if anyone noticed this before and why.

When Jr signed the contract with Hendrick, he put a clause in that he got to design his paint scheme.  Apparently this is something he wanted at DEI as well, but was never allowed to do.

My guess is that he wanted to keep some kind of red in his paint scheme for all the people who got red #8 tatoos or whatever...I might be totally off on that.

I'm glad he did leave his numbers red....the red 88 plate matches my red truck better than fluorescent yellow would have.

He designed his car and didn't want them to be fluorescent.

Jr wanted his paint scheme to be plain, nothing flashy. His scheme was done by a guy named Kevin King if I remember correctly and races with Jr online using Nascar 2003 made by papyrus for the pc(the only true sim to date, ea is joke)

I saw on a special that he designed his car himself so he may not have wanted it.
