Why doesn't God take my suffering away? Please Christians help!?

I have been consistently praying for help in a problem and God doesn't seem to be making things any better. I cry almost every day because of it. I am so tempted to give up on God.

1. Please can you pray for me?

2. How can God ignore my prayers and let me suffer? There's no upside to my situation.

  1. Well, i don't know what the problem is and you don't have to go through the details, but God is a God that cares.  Just like when Jesus suffered dying on the cross for us and our sins, God couldn't stand seeing him suffer but He loved him nonetheless.  One thing i can tell you, He will never put more on you than you can bear.  Ask Him to give you the strength that you need to go through the situation; i've been there when times seemed like it was unbearable and i cried feeling sorry for myself and trying to get others cry with me.  But God will wipe all tears from your eyes and when all hope is gone, ask Him to wrap you in His presence. Before you know it, you will make it through whatever the situation.  Don't give up on God; He never gives up on us, no matter how much we mess up!!!  I'll be praying for you...The joy of the Lord is your strength.  Nehemiah 8:10.  Also check out Jeremiah 29:11.  I hope this lifts you up a little bit.

  2. We go through situations in our life to cause our faith to grow.

1Pe 5:6  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

1Pe 5:7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1Pe 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1Pe 5:9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

1Pe 1:5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

1Pe 1:6  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

1Pe 1:7  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

1Pe 1:8  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

1Pe 1:9  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

  3. jesus never said life would be fair. but he said i will be with you and never leave you.read proverbs 3 ;5-6

  4. 1. yes

    2. If you don't have God's forgiveness then you should start praying for that first.  Once you find that then you have a much better chance of getting your other prayers answered.

  5. don't give up...keep pushing...i had something i was suffering through, it took about 3 months for me...when it happened it was wonderful...before the break through i was crying everyday...but after God healed my heart...i never felt any of the pain again...and have no problems when it comes up or anything...everything was totally taken away...so don't give up...

  6. Maybe because you don't truely believe God will take your suffering away.

  7. Yes I will pray for you.

I don't think God is ignoring you -- but maybe he is saying, "Wait."  Remember that God knows things about this situation that you don't -- God knows how it is all going to turn out.

    Hold on to this:

Jer 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I also believe there must be at least some small thing you can change -- and most often even the very smallest of changes can have HUGE impact on a situation. So -- give yourself back a little power.  What is just one small thing you CAN change about the situation or yourself...? To help you figure that out, reflect on the question, "If you woke up tomorrow and everything was perfect, what would that look like?"

  8. I am not a Christian, but as a Muslim I hope I can help.  As Muslims, we believe that when God loves a person, he tests them in this life to see their patience, and to give them a better reward in the next life.  Also, with pain and suffering in this world, people turn back to the remembrance of God.  Do not forget that every time a believer is feeling any type of pain, some of his sins are erased.  Please, always remember God and thank him and have patience even during the time of suffering.

  9. I know you are suffering and it is easy to want to give up on God when we don't understand why he allows suffering or when our problems seem overwhelming.  Even Job, about whom God said there was no one like him in all the earth - fearing God and turning aside from bad, felt like giving up and questioned God's ways when tested.

Read the account of Job.  Notice that it was Satan that alleged that Job was only serving God for what he got out of it.  He said to God "Job has good reason to fear you.  You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home.  You have made him prosper in everything he does.  But reach out and take away everything he has and he will surely curse you to your face!"  God did not try Job though because he could read his heart and knew his motives were pure - But Satan and the angels gathered there could not read hearts.  So, for their sake God said "All right, you may test him.."  That test didn't work...So....

Satan said "A man will give up everything he has to save his life.  Reach out and take away his health, and he will surely curse you..!"

Again God wouldn't dream of inflicting pain upon his servant Job..But he allowed Satan to inflict him.  This all took place to prove to satan and the angels that Job really loved God and served him because he deserves it.

Satan is still trying to prove that you and I are only serving God for selfish reasons.  That is why God said at Proverbs 27:11- "Be wise, my child, and make my heart rejoice, that I make make a reply to him that is taunting me."

Also, you can gain comfort in 1 Corinthians 10:13 - "The temptations in your life are common among humans.  But God is faithful and he will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand.  He will show you a way out so that you can endure."  Look for his way out!  It feels like it will never come ---but it will.

Another account to read is 2 Corinthians 12:7-10..."When I am weak, then I am powerful."

I really hope that helped.  Email me if you would like to talk more.

  10. What problem? Perhaps there is a way to solve it then praying to an imaginary creature.

  11. Without the cross there is no resurrection.

  12. I have cried for 25 years. I will tell you now... when I am crying I am happy. because I am crying in God, and I know that he loves me. When I cry, I know that God is hearing it, I know that he is sorry that I am crying, I know that he feels all my struggles and pains, and wants to help me all that he can, all that he knows is best for me. When I fail, I cry, when life is unhappy, I cry, when the wicked are constantly upon me, I cry, I cry out against the filthy, abominable, detestable, and the most evil souls that Christ will destroy them for their devil service. for 25 years I have been crying. and even if I do not believe I will ever succeed, I know that God lives, and that Christ is my savior, and that they are both standing next to me with their hands on my shoulders... helping me be happy again.

Here is a prayer for you:

God the eternal father hollowed is your name, kokuhan. Please father give this child strength and hope, peace, rest, and insight, help her to release all of her torments, and please strengthen her with success and results, and when she has conquered all these torments please put in her hands those demons that did torment her, that she can squeeze them to ashes... that they will be blown into the winds, never to be remembered again. Please make her soul new... give her a different spirit, a different world, a different life. Please bring her hope, that we might all have joy, in the everlasting name of Jesus Christ I seal my words in heaven and on earth, enogolom Elohim juhennan amen. ~ Light

    kisses

  13. Perhaps you are being put to the test like unto Job.

  14. I'm really sorry for your suffering.  I'll help you with #1, but I don't have an answer for #2.

I'm kind of in the same boat.  Would you please pray for me, too?  Thanks!

  15. Jhn 16:33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."

Rom 5:3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us--they help us learn to endure.

1Pe 1:6 So be truly glad!* There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while.

1Pe 1:7 These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

1Pe 4:12 Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.

1Pe 4:13 Instead, be very glad--because these trials will make you partners with Christ in his suffering, and afterward you will have the wonderful joy of sharing his glory when it is displayed to all the world.

2Pe 2:9 So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while punishing the wicked right up until the day of judgment.

Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from all their toils and trials; for their good deeds follow them

  16. Please read the book of Job in the Bible. It will give you insight ans inspiration.  Maybe God is giving you a sort of test. Maybe God has answered your quest but you haven't kooked for the answer in the right place or maybe He has given you an answer but it's not the answer you wanted to hear.

When you pray it is best to give God thanks and praise for all the good things you do have. Ever thanked Him for your eyesight, family & friends, school, living in a free country-I could go on but you get the idea. The greatest thing we need to give thanks for is the forgiveness of sin won by Him for us. He offers us everlasting life in the beauty & wonder of Heaven. Read the Bible, did the disciples have an easy time? No, Read of the trials Paul went through. Did Gods Son, Jesus have an easy care free life? No. Read it and see. You will find strength in the Bible. You may want to consider talking to a major denomination pastor for further help.

    God bless...

  17. Join the Club, So have I.

There are different explanations for why God allows suffering, but none of them can satisfy everyone.

The Bible tells us that God disciplines those whom He loves (Heb. 12:6) and that no true child of God is without discipline and instruction. It is obvious that the results of our rebellion against God brings suffering and it is also true that we can learn through our suffering that such rebellion is bad. We then could glorify God during and after our suffering by proclaiming the truth of His word that urges us to follow God and His ways.

Sometimes we learn our greatest lessons after having suffered the consequences of our actions -- and this is good. If we see that there are consequences through the acts of suffering in this world, it is logical to conclude that there will be suffering in the next as a consequence of our rebellion now. This could easily lead us to conclude that we need to be delivered from our rebellion against God. Of course, Jesus is the answer to this.

  18. God isn't ignoreing your prayers sometimes in life you have to deal with your problems in your own way he is always their watching you and will never give up on you so you should never give up on him my advice is go out stop crying and you will see your prays has already been answered it just has been waiting for you.

  19. because you do nothing, just crying

  20. You're still growing in God's ways and your faith is absent. Faith as small as a mustard seed with move mountains. My faith heals people. I'll pray for you, But you must promise me you will not give up God or give up on God. There I've prayed for you. Now do your part.

  21. I will be praying for you, and for God to take your troubles away, you have to honestly believe He will.

Also know that living the Christian life is a hard thing to do. It takes a lot of endurance. Read the book of Job, don't give up on God. See what Job had, and what was taken away from him, watch the pain and hardships he went through. Job's wife even told him to give up on God, but he didn't. Instead, he fell to his knees and prayed and thanked God.

And in the book of James, in chapter 1 it says to take joy in your troubles, for they are an oppurunity to grow in Christ and allow your endurance to grow.

1 Corinthians 10:13 "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure."

then there's 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."

    He's not ignoring you

-Look at it like this: Satan is just mad at you because you've given your life to God (I'm assuming you have because of what you've said.) Anyway, satan is mad and will try anything he can to get to you. he knows where you are weak, he knows where you hurt, he knows how to get in there and hurt you.

You have to rise above that and realize that it's only satan, and he's not worth thepain. No matter what's going on, just pray anyway, believe that you deserve better and believe that God will help you through even if it's not today. Look around and see what god is doing in your life, the little things, and if not yours, then in people you love's lives. He is there, you just may be missing it, because you're distracted.

It happens to all of us in some way or another.

    I will definitely be praying.

And if you need or want to, feel free to email me. I will be here for you if you would like.

    My email is faithlove.hope@yahoo.com

  22. 1. yes i can and i will

    2. he hasn't ignored them... and you may be saying that but there will be an upside even if you do not see it, just remember no matter how big your problem is God is always bigger, and he is in control and also remember that the Bible doesn't promise that being a Christian will be easy... in fact it says the opposite, as you relationship with Christ grows the more struggles you will end up going through... my suggestion is try to once a day sit and try to thank him for as many things as you can think of.

  23. Please never give up on God who will never give up on you.  Yes I will pray for you.  God knows us better than we know ourselves and loves us more than we can know.  When we (bellievers who accept, believe and trust in God's Word and His salvation plan for us thru His Son, Jesus Christ), are afflicted with suffering, whether it is physical or emotional, Jesus promised to be with us thru it all, not to give us more than we can handle, and to bring good out of what satan intended for evil.  HOW Jesus does this, we do not know, but we need be assured that HE DOES.  Sometimes we are ALLOWED to suffer trials and persecution in order to grow us in the Lord, to strengthen our faith, to ready us for something the Lord has planned for us, to help others in their faith, to test our faith, among other reasons that God knows.  What you need to do is trust in Jesus to be with you along your journey.  None of us know what or where our journey leads on this earth, but you can be assured thru your faith where your journey leads for eternity.........which is what really matters in the end.  Remember, we are not promised a life of easy, but are promised Jesus in the midst of it.  Do not give up, but do give it to God.  Let go and let God.  God bless

  24. He's not ignoring you, unless you don't really mean what you are asking, which I think you do mean it otherwise you wouldn't have asked this question.

We all suffer, sometimes it just takes a long time for us to get through a problem.  I'll pray for you. Try to keep faith. I think he lets us suffer to an a certain point to test us, doesn't seem nice, but in the end it makes us better, because if anything like that comes up again, you know you can get through it and can handle it, and possibly help others get throught the same thing.

  25. Even if a God does exist, you shouldn't rely on him/her/it to solve your problems. That goes for anyone. Analyze your situation and whatever it is that's troubling you and attempt to solve it on your own, you'll have a lot of respect and pride for yourself.

  26. I will pray for you ! You have to understand that just because you ask for something, doesn't mean that it is God's will. Perhaps he will answer you in His own good time. Perhaps he is trying to answer you but you aren't listening. Pray, and go on believing that it will happen. Let God work in your life and give your problems over to him, and wait and see what he does for you!

  27. I'm in that same situation now and I have a new wife and daughter and my son from a previous marriage in on this too.  We are falling behind in our rent by the month and my bills also.  My cars are falling apart so I will need to stop my night time job as a paper deliverer.  We are waiting for homeland security to issue the EAD documents so that my new wife and daughter can work also but I am not sure when it will happen.

Things have just been sliding downhill even though we ask God for deliverance. If God's will that we continue to lose more and more than that is God's choice and not mine.  But I am his servant no matter what.  I will never give the devil the satisfaction of turning against God or blaming him.  No way in heaven I would do that to the devil.  For that is where our real fight is with against the devil and spiritual wickedness in high places.  God will see us through.  Even if it means I am homeless and and we have no place to live.  At least God is with us in all things.

The one song that is my personal motto in life is called the Impossilbe Dream.  And that is what I feel like I am in now.

If God was in the lions den with Daniel then he is with us here.

If God was with Shadrack, Meschack, and Abednigo in the fiery furnace then so is he with us here.

If God was with Jesus in word as he fougth Satan after he fasted 40 days in the desert and God's word delivered Jesus from the enemy then God's word wil deliver us from the enem as well.

But we will not bow down to the god of this world at all.  If we are soldiers to fight in this battle this way then we will do so.

I suppose sometimes God takes everything from you in order to see how you will stand for him under thos trying situations. Just as God did with Job.

Hang in there and trust me I've had my share of crying also.  But I also try to do my share of rebuking the enmey and praising the Lord in all situations no matter what.  I pray the same for you as well.

    Ephesians 6:10-18

10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

    18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

    Peace unto you.

  28. "All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner..."

King Solomon's words may not be very comforting, but they do explain some things. I'm afraid that life sucks just as a matter of course, and God never promised anyone a rose garden. This pathetic life is not our reward, but we wait for the hereafter.
