Question:

Why doesn't HTML work in my group posts? It works fine when I preview it but not when it's posted.?

I am a group moderator. When I try to do a post with HTML, (pictures, links, etc.) then preview the post all looks great. When I do the actual post the pictures don't show, just the actual link where the picture is shows up. When I do a link with a word of my choosing, the actual link shows up instead in the post? Thanks for your help!

  1. In one of the Groups where I am an ordinary member, I sometimes see other members successfully include pictures in their messages that show up even on the Group's web site, but I don't know how they do it.  Anyway, if none of the other answers here help you, you might want to contact Yahoo Groups Customer Care by filling out the form at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/... .  If so, make sure you tell them all the important information you told us, including that previewing the post looked fine even though the final post was messed up; also mention whether you're trying to post these messages from the Group's web site or from your e-mail address, and if the former are you using the Rich-Text Editor.

  2. i think u need software or something sry i want to help but can't

  3. i'm fairly sure groups are set to no html by default, on our group we don't allow it to stop people posting business ads etc

  4. where are you posting this from? you mail or off the group? photobucket hosting HTML doesn't really work within a post, we tried it and it just doesn't. generally any other pic wont store on the homepage either.

Can I use HTML tags or CSS properties in my Yahoo! Groups messages?
