Question:

Why doesn't Hamilton win?

In his biography is written he was the last F1 winner...and I didn't see anything of that in real life!!

Now, he is doing his best to catch Kimi...and he is not able.

He might not train enough in PS2? Or there might be too many buttons in McLaren driving controls?

  1. was it intentional or a mistake???

he was really pressured and tensed in brazil last year, if he finished at least 7th place, he was the champion.

    LOLZ!

    watch this!

  2. He is just plain rubbish. Here comes at least 5 thumbs down.

  3. It's not Hamilton, he has the ability. He would have one last season had he come in to change that tyre. This season it's down to the car, it's just not performing - it's still early though.

  4. Well, no one can win all the time.

  5. Lewis would have been champion last season but his team deliberately stopped him from doing so. WHY ,if he had crossed the line as champion his value would have soared ,but McLaren were being tightfisted as usual ,who is to say they wont do it this season.

  6. by the looks of it he is finding the car quite difficult to drive though he may win this gp as he looked pretty good in the 1st race and thats was with a new gearbox and if you think about it if raikkonen crashes or has a problem then hamilton wins he'll lead the championship by 1 point and if raikkonen wins the championship again this year he'll quit f1 and hamiltons only main rival is Alonso

  7. A) Ferraris are faster than McLaren cars.

    B) Hamiliton is still young, and despite his talent he still has years ahead of him to continue honing his gift - he's already surprised the world with his brilliance in the first year, he doesn't need to win the Championship just yet in my opinion.

  8. Because he gives equal chance to everyone. He just wants to convince the people that F1 has become very competitive these days. U know if he keeps on winning people will consider F1 as boring. But he has given enough chance to the Ferraris and others, now its his chance in Istanbul.

  9. because he has SMEGMA!

  10. Well he does have talent and McLaren actually had a slight advantage when they designed their car this year because the ECU was theirs, so they could focus more on other things.

He is certainly capable of winning races but I don't think he's as good as Kimi because on a number of occasions in his McLaren kimi got a ten place penalty, got up to about third and then his engine blew up again. The driver now makes about 40% of the cars performance so that margin should be big enough for Lewis to make the difference and prove he really is a good driver.

  11. McLaren got fined a huge sum of money last season (originally $100M, it was later reduced I think) and that has put a big hole in their R&D budget over the close season.

Therefore Ferrari have a better car than McLaren and even BMW are very close to McLaren overall.  As F1 is more about the car than the driver it figures that Hamilton has struggled more this season although he did win a race.

The McLaren also seems to be a difficult car to drive, watch how twitchy it is under accelleration especially, compared the the Ferraris.  Now some might say that Ferrari are running some kind of traction control, but there's no evidence to prove that.

He's won more races than Michael Schumacher had at this stage of his career and he was quite a successful driver in the end.

  12. A driver can't win all the time. And each season is different from the previous. It may be taht he's adjusting to the new car or Kimi's just too hard for him to catch. Some drivers don't do too well at the beginning of the season but catch up later or vice versa. We'll just have to wait and see what Hamilton will do

  13. Just because he hasn't won in the very recent races doesn't mean he doesn't win in general.

He's already won this year and he's probably gonna do it again, whether the McLaren catches up with Ferrari or not.

As long as he's up there or thereabouts he'll win again, he has immense talent and is unlikely to repeat his early season mistakes.

He's going through a steep learning curve right now.

  14. I think it is because he hasn't quite adjusted to the lack of traction control this year, and also because the car doesn't seem to be quite as good as the Ferrari. I also think that BMW has made up ground. I would look for him to have a better chance in Monte Carlo due to the downforce problems that Ferrari has had in recent years, but they may have solved that with the new nose with the hole in it.

  15. Because he's a total wanker and karma is smacking him for his arrogance.

  16. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  17. He was extremely lucky to have been in what was probably the best car last year and now he's come down to earth with a bump.

Villeneuve enjoyed two good years in the best car and let's face it he wasn't great quality.

  18. He's not as good at developing the car and giving feedback as other drivers. I always knew Mclaren were taking a chance in signing two second year drivers for their lineup, now it looks like they might fall behind the BMW's.

  19. Durrrr  its cause the McLaren side buggered up their car, its slower than the ferrari and more unreliable.

  20. Because now he's not able to copy Alonso's settings.

  21. becouse he is s**t driver

  22. The Ferrari is faster than the McLaren.

  23. DanDan der schneizer is spot on in my opinion, Hamilton is no god or F1 prodigy until he proves it, any decent driver in Mclarens car last year would have performed well. Particularly Raikkonen. Now that Ham isnt winning everyone assumes he has amazing talent and that its all Mclaren's fault.

During the year's of 97 and 98 and even some parts of 96 Schumacher took it to the world champion cars of Williams and Mclaren in his widely accepted inferior Ferrari, so as soon as the tables level up, Schumacher gets it right 5 years in a row from 2000 onto 04. Not to expect Ham to win in first year even with best car, but he has been pretty much had the road to F1 and even his first F1 drive on a platter.

Nobody to date has demonstrated Schu's defying the odds, including Ham. So I put Ham, although high up, in the same talent pool as the pointy end of the field, and without Schu there are no current epic drivers of that calibre
