Why doesn't McDonald's ever give me straws?

I got there about 3 times a week and I never, ever get a straw with any of my orders. I don't know if they don't carry them or if they just don't like me, but it's annoying. How do I get them to give me straws?!

They don't give you straws they have them around  near the bins all you have to do is pick one out yourself...

The McD at which my kids work deliberately does not put straws or napkins into the orders.  They are available on the counter by the drinks for anyone who wants them.  Most napkins and many of the straws are just thrown away.  So to save money and to be "green", they do not hand out items that are just going to be tossed.

That depends. Are you going to the drive-thru? If so then yes  they should be giving a straw. Next time check your bag before you leave. If not, thet straws are self serve along with th napkins & ketchup.

I'll tell you what you do... go to the McDonalds website and make a complaint.  I bet you'll see a change quickly.  

It's just your McDonalds and how it's run.  The one by me is awesome... never messes up my orders, even when they're special orders.  However, there's one by my friends house that NEVER gets the order right, even standard numbered orders.

I agree, last week I ordered a large french fry, and the week before a 9 piece McNugget, but they didn't give me no straws either. This is a conspiracy, and I hate to tell you, but I think Donald Rumsfeld is behind it!

Are you going in or going thru the drive thru?  If you go inside you get the straws yourself.  If you go to the drive thru they should be giving you one.  If they forget just ask them for one.  Check the bag though.  They usually put them in the bag if you get food as well.

Must just be your Mcdonalds because mine always remember straws and sometimes we get more than we need. Next time you go, check in your bag before you drive away and if theres not a straw ask them for one.

The same way you get your own napkins.  You want them to burp you after your meal too?  If you mean drive-thru, well you have to order a drink.

Ask them for one the next time you go. When asking, make sure to mention how you have not been getting them. If you order a drink, you should get a straw with it. Every time that you do not get a straw with your drink, ask and mention how you have not been getting one and you have to ask every time. After awhile, they should take notice and fix the problem. You could also talk to the manager of the location(s) that you go to.

If your in desperate need of a straw and they don't give you a straw, just start packing some extra straws in your car or keep some in your desk at work.  Then you'll always have a straw whether they give you one or not.

They don't give you straws because straws are in a container on the counter. You are expected to pick one up yourself.
