i think mucdonald hot dogs would be gross i mean thier burgers might be good but a fast food hot dog seems gross

keep the hamburger tradition. but would you honestly want a hot dog from mcdonalds that probably isn't kosher or even real meat?!

Well, CEO Ray Kroc prohibited the company from selling hot dogs, regardless demand, he seemed to think that they were unfit to eat. So, other than a few bits of test marketing here and there, McDonald's hasn't and apparently won't sell frankfurters.

Despite the fact that the McDonald brothers very first restaurant (The Airdome - 1937) did serve hot dogs.

They've probably done focus groups and realized they wouldn't do well.  Since McDonalds isn't exactly known for their prime meat, my guess is that people would assume their hot dogs are crappy quality too.

For one summer a few years back, they did sell hot dogs in my area.  They were so good but they must not have went over very well and were discontinued.  One of those promotional things, I guess.

Because eating their hamburgers is the equivalent of eating a hot dog. It's all the same c**p that's in a hot dog, just shaped differently.
