Why doesn't Michael Moore like the Telecommunications Act of 1996?

  1. Because the Telecommunications Act of 1996 requires any documentary to be truthful. Moore's documentaries tend to give you the truth ,but with a u turn bend to it,Partial truths are the same as un truths.This is why he has a dislike for the Act.He wants to give only his version of what he believes is the truth.


  2. I didn't go looking things up, but didn't part of that Act result in the consolidation of news media outlets.  Radio, print and television news is now under the control a very small group of media giants.

    When a nation's media is controlled by a small group, there is obviously the threat of propaganda and influence.  Dictatorships, etc, often seize control of the media early in their efforts to control a country.
