Why doesn't NBC show the Olympic events live (I don't mind watching them in the morning).?

I can't avoid knowing the results online since I'm looking at the online newspaper job classifieds daily. And I have to wait 12 hours to see tape video of the Olympic events.

I think they try really hard to. That is why we see them at night, while it is going on in the morning over in Beijing. I think the reason you see the results is because China, or other countries may send them to the U.S.

BECAUSE JUST LIKE THE SORE AMERICAN LOOSERS THEY ARE GREEDY AND EXPECT TO GET MORE RATINGS DURING PRIME TIME.

I had the same problem... and then i heard that on nbc.com, they are playing the olympics live.

or mnbc.com I can't remember

And to Steve and Maria, none of the olympics are live, they all say they are live but almost none of it is.

I would love to see it live too and don't mind watching at 6 AM but NBC wants you to watch the primetime coverage so they can get the better ratings. There are no ratings for shows at 6AM on a Sunday morning.

I don't know what you are watching but half of the Olympics are being shown live on NBC....

When it is daytime on Monday it is Sunday night here....so you are seeing live events. Thus that is why we had to stay up until midnight the other evening to see the gymnastics finals.. LIVE

I am very surprised to read that you are not getting live Olympics.

Here in England, the BBC interactive TV service shows six live events to choose from.

Unfortunately, China is seven hours ahead, so when events are starting at about 9am in Beijing, it is 2am here.
