Why doesn't Sarah Palin feel the same as Obama does?

Obama said he wouldn't want his daughters to be "punished" for making a mistake and getting pregnant...Sarah Palins daughter is 5 months pregnant and plans on having the baby and marrying the babies father.....do you feel Sarah Palin is "punishing" her daughter?? or is her daughter and Sarah doing the "right thing"??

Sarah's a little extreme.  She opposes rape and incest exceptions for women seeking abortion.

In November 2006, in a gubernatorial debate, she declared that she would not support her daughter's choosing an abortion even if she had been raped.

Palins daughter is obviously doing the right thing. But then again, that family has more guiding them than the empty slogan of "yes we can" or "change".

They are not doing the right thing. First off, she is not married so that makes it an illegitimate child. Secondly, if she is not ready for parenthood, which I truly doubt she is, she is only bringing a world of hurt upon herself and that unfortunate child. But good luck with that.

If her daughter really wants to marry the father and didn't have any particular plans for the immediate future (like college) then there's no reason to get an abortion. There are plenty of young women who are not in such a convenient situation though, and it is possible that she was pressured by her parents. At age 17 it almost seems like a shotgun wedding.

Sounds like that choice would be un to the daughter not the mother, if she thinks she loves the guy and wants to marry him that would be her choice.

I think Sarah Palin is simply staunch in her pro-life beliefs. She just recently said she would oppose abortion even if her own daughter was raped. That's pretty die-hard. I don't think most people would agree with that stance.

Sarah Palin let her daughter make her own decisions and has supported them with love. That's good parenting.
