Why doesn't Yahoo! have a search function to retrieve past "featured articles" from the home page?

There are literally hundreds of frustrated Yahoo! members who want to find a featured article from earlier in the day or the day before, yet there is no simple search function for this area to retrieve them. Everyone answers, "Do a Yahoo search" in news. Well many of us have tried them and they don't work well.
