Why doesn't a/c blow cold after radio install in 2001 accent???? Please help.?

  1. i am not sure if you did radio or not but in the accent, in order to get panel off that goes over/around radio to unscrew radio you have to disconnect two cables that control the levers on your A/C.  One lever control inside air circulation or vent  and the other controls heat and a/c blend.  if when it was put back on it was put back in alignment to it was then the lever won't be operated all the way to either the heat or a/c.  i believe if you get on the driver's side on floor and look up towards behind the radio area you will see flexible cable with a metal rod(very thin more like a wire but still stiff) that has a loop on the end.  there is a clip that is suppose to clip in to keep the black part of the wire stationary so the inside metal rod can push/push a lever that has a nub that the loop on the metal rod goes over.  you also have something similar behind glovebox. check them both  


  2. take the dash piece thats there with the a/c contols and check if maybe you disconnected the wire that goes to the "A/C' button or try and wiggle the wires around while your a/c is blowing
