  1. The government has something to hide....


  2. I think that maybe because they want to show that they capable in helping their own people.  They don't want to owe other country favor (maybe).

  3. they don't want to have to owe us anything.

  4. it doesn't want other countries interfering with their military regime.

  5. They accept the relief goods for as long as they get to distribute it themselves. Actually, the military junta, repacks the goods from abroad, puts their picture and distribute it to the people. They have even prohibited the monks from helping out the victims.

  6. Burma does. its the b*****d in charge that doesn't.

  7. Burma is afraid that these aid comes with terms attached, given the xenophobic and paranoid nature of the junta.

    However, they do accept aid and allow aid workers from states and organisations that have a policy of non-intervention into the internal affairs of other countries; i.e China, ASEAN, Thailand etc.
