If you are a minority with regards to race, age, s*x or handicap, there are affirmative action programs to help you get hired and or promoted when your group is not represented according to demographics. But if you are a minority with regards to creed, how can you prove it? Why did our government take away the ability of a minority creed person to claim and prove disparity?

  1. It didn't.

If you have been discriminated against on the basis of your religious faith, or lack thereof, you may sue for discrimination.

But not having an affirmative action program for you is not grounds for a lawsuit.

EDIT - there's more than one way to skin a cat.  Obviously, someone must know of the religious backgrounds within the affected group.  If no one has this information, then discrimination on that basis would be impossible.  So, skip the database and go to the source.  Take depositions, surveys, polls, etc.

EDIT #2 - no, you are wrong.  It is very possible to collect this information during a discrimination suit.  But there's no point in arguing about it.  If you think you have a case, see a private lawyer, not the EEOC.
