Question:

Why doesn't delete portfolios work?

When I select delete to "delete" a portfolio (either from manage or from the portfolio itself) the confirmation page is displayed, "Yes" or "No". Selecting YES appears to do something, just what I haven't figured out. The confirmation page remains displayed, and the portfolio is NOT deleted!

  1. Yahoo!'s been having a LOT of issues lately, so it's entirely possible, that Yahoo! was just on a break when you did your change.

    I'd try rebooting and trying again.  It's working fine for me adding/editing/deleting new portfolios at will.

    If it doesn't work for you, you may need to contact customer care.  Here's how to get to a page to report your problem directly to Yahoo!

    In Yahoo!Finance, at the top right of the page, there's a help link. Click on that to get your here

    Finally, at the bottom is the contact customer care button. Yes, it's convoluted, but that's one way to get there!

    Once you get there and ask your question, they're pretty good at getting back to you, but you may have to ask/answer back and forth a couple of times.  Be as specific as possible (operating system, browser, etc).
