Why doesn't everyone love Kobe?

He is my favorite player and people don't like him. Why? Why? Why? I don't understand why people are so cruel. Is it because us Kobe lovers are actually the biggest haters of all?

it just his combination of skills and his ego and the hype the media puts behind him. plus he probably beat their team. same thing happened with jordan... people love him (sorta') now but they were a fair amount of people who couldn't stand Jordan.

like me. i didn't like jordan. i liked horace grant and pippen.

but i do respect him just like i respect kobe, even though he can be a bit of a cry baby or whiner... get back on D dude, is what i'm yelling when i see kobe go after a ref.

You have to give credit for the Laker fans for making Kobe the most talked about on this board.  He gets so much love and hate, but it all starts from the enormous support he has in this section and then the haters counteract the love, but it still all started by the Laker fans.  Where are all the other fans of teams trying to hype up their star.  Laker fans dominate this board.  Nope, not a Laker fan, Just a basketball fan.

american media gave him a really bad image and makes everyone in us hate him.  but as u an see in euro and china places who aren't influenced by the american media all love kobe.

basically ESPN hates kobe and loves shaq and jordan.  jordan was usually really good with the press and shaq loved making jokes and was often very entertaining.

kobe on the other hand was loved by the media at first and was dubbed the next michael jordan.  But after the rape accusation kobe became very cold and secluded and wouldnt talk to anyone about it and the media felt betrayed.  now everything kobe does the media twists it to make it seem like kobe is the big bad monster.  

there was even an article about how it was kobes fault that the 2004/2006 olympic losses were kobe's fault because he was too selfish to play for his country when infact he had rape trial, and was injured.
