Why doesn't hydrogen fuel burn us?

i watched a video of a guy who made a hydrogen blowtorch that was safe to touch but could burn a hole through metal in seconds, why is this?

  1. Hydrogen makes the hottest torch there is. I don't know what U thought U saw but it will burn U....

  3. Blow torches can be set to have different temperature flames.  It can be set with little hydrogen, and little oxygen where it will hardly burn at all.  It can also be set in such amounts that it will melt metal.  

    Bunsen burners are a good example.  If the pipe is set wrong you can hold your hand over it for a few seconds, but a proper flame cone will burn you instantly.  Heat works more with accumulation.  A torch or burner take a few seconds to bring metal to melting point.
