I downloaded this thing on the internet called i-Doser and it's suppose to play certain "doses" which are frequencies of sound that are suppose to give a certain affect similar to it's name, for example "Drunk" is suppose to make you feel drunk, so on and so fourth... Well, the thing is, whenever I do any of the doses, they don't work, can someone explain why?

  1. Because that doesn't work.  There's no frequency that makes you feel drunk or anything else.  It's a scam.  I hope you didn't pay for it.

  2. Because it's a crock, as others have said. There is no known relationship between sound frequency and perceived drunkenness, or the feeling of being stoned, etc.. The only thing it may accomplish is the Placebo Effect.

  3. The concept is real. Certain sounds can resonate with your body and create weird effects like nausia and loose bowels. Although the loose bowels thing, aka "Brown Noise" has been studied and doesnt seem to really make you c**p yourself. There are even frequencies that can make you see ghosts (optical illusion) by resonating off your eyes.

However, most household speakers will not have the range to play those frequencies needed. You will need speaker capable of playing extremely low and sub-audible frequencies to get these results. I have a feeling this program is designed to be used with very high end speakers.

  4. Easy enough. First of all when you listen to i-doser you are gonna want to lay down, close your eyes, and focus on the music (making sure you don't get distracted). Make sure you listen to the entire thing. The effects should last during the listening and ,depending on what the "dose" is, last some time after wards as well. Marijuana lasts for about an hour after you listen to it. The last thing is that some people are more susceptible than others, meaning its easier to be induced by the music and the effects will be greater. Its possible that you may just not be susceptible to i-doser, in which case, that sucks.

  5. Because it is a scam.

  6. You should get better speakers.
