  1. Cats are creatures of habit and very finicky about their food.  If you have had him on a diet of some other food, you will have to continue to offer the meat to him until he decides to eat it.

I'm hoping this is just a little treat, it is almost impossible to be sure the cat gets all the nutrients he needs unless he eats commercial cat food.

  2. What kind of meat are you feeding it? Raw or cooked? Seasoned or plain?

While cats are obligate carnivores, they need the vitamins and minerals that are provided in a well balanced, animal protein based wet food.  Trying to feed your cat people food isn't a good idea.  Stick with quality wet food.

  3. i guess some cats don't like it, my cat only likes grilled or boiled chicken, anything else he will just l**k it and leave it alone.  they are just picky

  4. At first, my cat didn't eat meat. so we smashed it up and added some milk and put it in a bottle to feed him.

  5. You don't give enough info so I'm going to have to stab in the dark.

Your cat has probably eaten dry food all its life.  Cats are creatures of habit and some of them do not care to have their diets changed, especially when it comes to texture.

They are designed by nature to be suspicious.  It's this that keeps them from ingesting food items that are bad for them.

Cats don't have a lot of taste buds so they go by smell.  If the "meat" you're offering doesn't have a strong odor he may not realize it's food.

If you're talking about raw meat, that has very little odor and so my previous statement would apply here too.

On the other hand, a stray cat will eat anything you put down.  I laugh when I consider how much work it was to get my cats to first eat canned food and then eat raw meat.  It was plead and beg and bribe.  But put some raw meat out for the strays and they're all over it.

Hunger adds a bit of spice.

  6. It could be the way its cooked, or it doesn't like that kind, or its crazy.

  7. She does, she's a cat, it's all they eat. What exactly are you trying to feed it? Have you tried cat food - canned AND dry form?

    Chalice

  8. I have one cat (of 3) that will only eat dry food.  he will l**k the juice out of the can but that is all.

Just a personal preference I guess
