Why doesn't my cell ring?

i have the us cellular version of the Lg

im positive that the volumes all the way up and i know that the phone has a ascending ringer but i can hear anything, i have 3 ring tones and non of them work, if called my phone and i miss any call. i cant find a mute button or anything, anyone have any idea,

ok, have u tried putting ur phone in the next room(make sure the ringer is set to the loudest setting&make sure its got a good signal), n try calling it from another phone, if it misses the call it might be the towers or it might be something wrong with the phone internally!
