Question:

Why doesn't my ipod cassette adaptor work with my car?

I bought a new cassette adapter off amazon that came in a new package. I hooked it up to my also new and functioning ipod and attempted to put the cassette adapter into my stereo. It went in fine and started making noises for about 20 seconds before pushing the cassette back out. Is there an easier solution or am I missing something?

  1. Nope. Some tape decks won't work with those adapters. Some are even damaged by them (happened to me).

    So I found a cure...http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9oDEWuNVIo6...

It's not wireless so there's no interference. Not to be confused with an FM transmitter. Basically it adds an AUX input to ANY radio. No searching for a clean channel.

It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off. It comes with an On/Off switch.

This is the answer. Totally versatile.
